About Oceans Aware | Inspire, Empower and Protect
Oceans is a multidimensional organisation uniting world-class marine researchers, graphic designers, conservationists, educators and anyone else who wants to do something to preserve our oceans.
The main goal of this organization is to make a positive impact in ocean conservation and enrich the lives of others by providing opportunities for individuals to explore and learn about the marine environment. Oceans comprises of: Oceans Aware, Oceans Research, Oceans Publishing, Oceans Interactive, and Oceans Discovery. Oceans is strengthened by the ability to unite talented and dedicated individuals who are motivated by their unwavering passion to understand and protect the marine environment.
Oceans Aware was created in 2009 to serve as the educational and community based division of Oceans. Oceans Aware was formed to make marine scientists and their fascinating research and discoveries more accessible to individuals who share a common passion for the marine environment. Marine scientists have traditionally been limited in their capabilities to induce positive change based on their scientific studies. However, by collaborating with passionate like-minded individuals who can provide a powerful voice and advocate for positive change, we can together be more effective in improving the condition of our oceans and conservation of marine species.
Oceans Aware strives to preserve our marine ecosystems by actively addressing environmental issues through various programs focusing on empowering and educating children, our future academic, political, and economical leaders. In essence, our programs will ensure a positive long-term investment in the marine environment.
